How to Use Glucose with Apple Health

Review Apple Health permissions, choose supported data categories, and fix access that was previously denied.

Apple Health permissions are granular: you decide which supported categories Glucose can read or write. The options shown on your device are the source of truth for your app version.

  1. Open Apple Health Settings

In Glucose, open Settings and choose Apple Health Settings or Sync with Apple Health. Review the categories currently available.

  2. Choose permissions intentionally

Enable only the read or write categories that support your workflow. Apple Health keeps separate permission controls for each category, and you can change them later.

  3. Change previously denied access

If a category is missing because access was denied, use Manage Access or open the Health app and iOS Settings to review Glucose permissions.

  4. Confirm with one test entry

Create or update one non-critical test entry and confirm that it appears where you expect. Do not assume every third-party device or app shares every data type in both directions.
